Program Description A general machinist is a specialist who produces high-quality tooling and machined components for the precision machining/tooling industries. This skills-based program prepares you for entry into the machining skills trades industry, including apprenticeship. It incorporates a number of months of paid on-the-job work and includes the in-school knowledge related to the machining trades. Students do not need to be a registered apprentice or have an employer sponsor to start this program. This program includes the study and application of computer-integrated manufacturing applications. This program will appeal to those who are attracted to modern manufacturing technologies and enjoy working with machines.
